“Our first collaboration is defiantly truly special. A fellow Broome business woman taking a leap to follow her dreams, we loved having her on photoshoot and spending time together this month.
Magnolia Howard is a long time Broome resident for over 25 years. Her parents relocated from Melbourne after they fell in love with Broome many years previous while travelling Australia. Magnolia has been a qualified jeweller for over 18 years and originally was mentored by her brother Tjalka who is a goldsmith. Magnolia specialises in Broome pearls and has worked within the Broome pearling industry her whole career. She is now perusing her dream of designing and creating her own jewellery inspired by Broome and the Kimberley region.
Magnolia now creates stunning bespoke pieces largely centering Broome pearls. Her work is customised and truly unique. Her passion is of great design, forged in metal to withstand time, letting your legacy live on in her creations.
Magnolia has been already awarded the prestigious 2019 Australian Jewellery Design Awards for her stunning piece ‘Serra’ inspired by the work of sculptor Richard Serra. The Award was in the Pearl category for pieces up to the retail value of $5,000.
